public Archaeology Forum​

We have exciting news!

 

On the first Thursday of every month the Comer Museum will be hosting a Public Archaeology Forum in the afternoons from 3 PM - 7 PM. The next one is scheduled for November 6th. These events are open to the general public. Anyone interested in local history, prehistory, or archaeology is encouraged to attend! Come speak with our resident archaeologist and discuss local history topics, bring artifacts for identification, or just engage in interesting conversation about our area's rich history and cultural resources. We look forward to seeing you there!

 Paranormal Investigation Results

 

Check out the results of Alabama's Most Haunted's investigation of the Comer Museum, now available to watch on YouTube. If you thought you were creeped out by the darker side of the museum before....

Local Art Expo!

From November 1st to January 1st, anyone can be apart of our art gallery! Any and all local artists of all skill levels are encouraged to present up to two pieces to hang in the gallery for the community to enjoy and perhaps purchase. There's no cost, so if you ever wanted to see your work hanging for the public, now's the time!

The museum will be hosting a reception for all contributing artists from 6PM - 8PM on November 20th. Lets see what you got!!

The Comer museum will once again be hosting a Christmas Market for local crafters, vendors, and artists this holiday season. The market will run from the 2nd - 20th of December. All tables have been reserved, so come get some gift shopping done.
