public Archaeology Forum​

We have exciting news!

 

On the first Thursday of every month the Comer Museum will be hosting a Public Archaeology Forum in the afternoons from 3 PM - 7 PM. The next one is scheduled for February 5th (there WILL NOT be one for January). These events are open to the general public. Anyone interested in local history, prehistory, or archaeology is encouraged to attend! Come speak with our resident archaeologist and discuss local history topics, bring artifacts for identification, or just engage in interesting conversation about our area's rich history and cultural resources. We look forward to seeing you there!

 Paranormal Investigation Results

 

Check out the results of Alabama's Most Haunted's investigation of the Comer Museum, now available to watch on YouTube. If you thought you were creeped out by the darker side of the museum before....

Art Supplies Arrangement

Mixed Expressions Gallery

Throughout the month of January the museum will feature the work of several local artists in a variety of media. Contributing artists include Allaster Hay, Brylane Hay miller, Joseph Fields, Cristy Rae Emfinger Warlick, Bryan Eason, and Angela Eason. Swing in and enjoy this creative display of Artistic Expressions.

Black History Art Extravaganza Exhibit

From February 3rd through the 28th the Comer museum will be hosting the an art exhibit in honor of Black History Month. Come join us for a celebration of history and culture! ​​​

The museum will be hosting a reception for all contributing artists from 6PM - 8PM on February 19th. Be sure to join us for free refreshments and live entertainment! Don't miss the celebration!!

Get Ready for the 13th Annual Car and Bike show hosted by the Comer Museum! Classic Cars and Bikes, 50/50 Split the Pot, Money Tree, Door Prizes, Food and Vendors, Live Entertainment, and much more!
